We have officially adopted our path, and surprise! It’s at Ridgewood Park, where we have met for our storm drain marking events. Come out for a Green Team only event for us to scout our new location and complete our first official clean-up as a team!!! Please make sure you receive approval from your team lead to attend.
A light breakfast will be provided and details are below:
📅 When: Friday, May 16, 2025, 8-10am
📍 Where: Ridgewood Park - 4192 Interfaith Way, The Woodlands, TX 77381
🌳As you sweep the park, please be sure to include the tree lines, as they are common areas where litter tends to accumulate. Optional - your group is also welcome to extend into any of the pathways adjacent to the park.
Your Pathway
Your path starts at the corner of W. Panther Creek Dr and Ridgewood Park. It then follows Interfaith Way and enters Ridgewood Park, continuing along Interfaith Way until it reaches E. Panther Creek Dr. Your pathway is outlined in blue in the image below.
Program Requirements
To join the Adopt-A-Path program requires a minimum one year commitment to adopt and maintain at least 1-mile of pathway and to submit an online activity report after each cleanup. The minimum requirement to maintain active status in the program is to submit at least one activity report per quarter. This is a self-guided volunteer opportunity. Volunteers are encouraged to clean and report as frequently as they wish as long as at least one activity report is submitted quarterly.
Waivers
Each member of your group, including minors, is required to complete an online waiver before your first cleanup, or as new volunteers participate during the year. Waivers must be renewed annually. Your listed Contact Person is responsible for ensuring waiver forms are filled out for all cleanup activities, and monitoring renewal reminders in January each year.
Equipment Loans
Litter pickers and safety vests are available for loan, and trash bags and gloves can also be provided for your use.
Litter Disposal
After each cleanup, deposit bags of litter in your home trash cart or in a park trash can. Please don’t overfill the cans in a park as overstuffed trash cans may result in more litter. If you find hazardous waste, large items, illegal dumping sites, pathway concerns, or criminal activity, please report these issues to The Woodlands Township by calling 281-210-3800.
Go Greener – Separate Trash from Recyclable Items
*Optional – If your group would like to take a greener approach, you can separate trash from recyclable items that can be placed in your curbside recycling cart (yellow lid). For more details, visit our Curbside Recycling website HERE.
